Clamour's Death

Sit ye down awhile
fair maiden with a smile,
cease from all your work,
be not afraid to shirk
but stillness find,
sweet peace of mind.

So let your heart be still,
subdue your roving will,
rest in this time alone
aware all strain has gone,
feel each new breath
and clamour’s death.

Find what this moment holds -
a universe unfolds.
Let go of striving, cease
to care for past unease
or future fear,
hush now my dear.

For in this present space
riches of hope and grace
lie just beyond your sight
inviting you t’alight
as damsel fly
on nymphaeaceae.
